Whether the association or party is successful or not, the money is gone. The situation is quite different, however, with the purchase of shares. If the stock corporation fails, then of course the money is gone. But if the corporation succeeds, then the share price goes up. The shares you have purchased are suddenly worth much more. The stock market is a system where shareholders are rewarded for supporting good ideas. You may never have thought of it that way, but I'm doing everything I can to ensure that my shareholders are really properly rewarded for their trust in my ideas in the future. A famous Austrian journalist often wrote “Capitalism is good for the consumer because so many money-grubbing capitalists try to capture market share with cheaper and better products.” This is true wherever cartelization and price fixing do not prevent this benefit to the consumer. It can also be a cartel of stupidity and ignorance. That's right, we want to capture market share with cheaper and better houses. Not only better for the house buyer, but better for all mankind, because every house sold is a contribution to a functional energy transition. That's right, if we become successful, our competitors will be forced to build cheaper and better houses or disappear from the market.
