About finger prints and toes print

Policeman: I think we do not have all necessary prints from You. RM: What? You have all my fingerprints. Policeman: Yes, but it seems to be not enough. Come with me!

  1996-05-05:

A bad sunday morning in an east European country. The side window of my Renault Espace is broken and the radio is stolen.

I drive to the police. After a while a specialist for traces comes. He blows a yellow powder on the area around the broken side window. He blows also the yellow powder to the front window from inside. Then he takes some finger prints visible by the yellow powder.

To find out what fingerprints are from me and what are from the thief, the policeman takes my fingerprints.

I wait in my car for the papers. I am sitting very comfortable in my car with the feet towards the front window. That is possible because the front window in a Renault Espace is far away from the driver. It is a hot day and I have as usual my shoes doffed.

After a while the police specialist for traces comes out of the building. He sees me sitting in my car with the feet up.

Policeman: I think we do not have all necessary prints from You.
RM: What? You have all my fingerprints.
Policeman: Yes, but it seems to be not enough. Come with me!

I attract my shoes and go with the policeman again into the building.

Policeman: Now put Your shoes away. Please step on this inkpad...
