Jordan is among the most water-scarce nations on earth. In Germany, one calculates a household consumption of 50 m³ of water per inhabitant per year. Jordan has only slightly more water per inhabitant than this household consumption. Food production with conventional systems is not possible in this way. What happens when harvests in food exporting countries decline sharply due to climate change? When there is nothing left to export?
If you can grow 2 to 3 tons of fruits and vegetables using only the recycled gray water from your own house in the aeroponic system, then with such looming scenarios, it quickly becomes clear what disruption means to survival.
