Complete different oppinions have Roland Berger and Roland Mösl about the development of the market for lithium batteries for propulsion.. One means more than 3 times over capacity, the other fears, that less than 10% of the demand can be produced. So different can be prognoses.
One sees only the car market for lithium batteries, the other means, that with the estimated production capacity of 78 GWh/year, it's even not possible to have the first oil consumption reduction plan in the next oil crisis executed, each year to replace 50 million gasoline scooters by electric scooters in development countries.

Brake as much as possible

Since decades, the car industry tries to brake technical progress. Electric cars yes, but please much much later. They want to use them for the green image, but not for sell.
The fabrics vor ICE are most times old, but pais. This attitude is obvious behind the Roland Berger study.
Complete different was Professor Spiegelberg from Siemens at the drivetrain conference: "The Asians could use this change to destroy the European car industry".
