BGCOLOR html statement

Every browser recognizes this command at the BODY statement.
But some browser do not recognize this command at the TABLE statement or cells of the table.

This documents are all develop using the Microsoft Explorer.
The surprise was great that some other browsers show this documents without the expected colors.

One of the trouble making browsers has also an other very bad feature:
A built in time limit. Imagine Starship Voyager with time limited software.

This problem occured at the first homepage of PEGE 1996:
A TABLE with black background and yellow text appeared on Naviagator V3.0 as...
...yellow text on light yellow background.
