The horse will die - Discussion with Photovoltaic uninformed people

Imagine a horse living on only 40 square meter grass. The horse will die by hunger. Imagine 40 square meter photovoltaic to recharge an electric car. More than 20000km a year!

Do You know something better?

The biomass from the best energy producing plants have about 10 kWh per square meter thermic energy. This gives after all the processing less than 3 kWh electrical energy per square meter and year.

The efficiency from plants on a good ground is about 0.3%. Standard Photovoltaic has about 15%.
So Photovoltaic is 50 TIMES MORE EFFICIENT than plants.

An average car will use for 20.000 km a year about 4000 kWh electric power. 40 square meters Photovoltaic in middle Europe are enough to produce this amount of energy.

Please would You first read my site It is not possible to send nearly one MB into a newsgroup.

The first step are not solar powered cars, but solar powered air-condition for cars and solar powered small refrigerators in cars, in order that Your ice is not melted when Your mother comes into a traffic jam on the way from the super market to Your home.

The second step is the Energy Track system to bring the electric power from all the Photovoltaic equipped houses to the cars.

Oh I know! The electric power comes out of the electrical grid. ;-) You should know that behind the electrical power grid are power plants. This power plants need oil, gas uranium or coil.

When the power plant has no resources You will have a bad surprise:
Nothing comes out of the electrical grid. :-(

At last, I admire Your courage to start the discussion with so few knowledge about energy.

And it happened to me again: The efficiency of plants is so terrible small, that I remember sometimes 10 times more. So it happened in my first book at a graphic to show how bad the performance of biomass is. I wrote in the bad exeample 10 times higher efficiency for plants than reality.
